In Planet Crafter, we get a lot of different materials to work with. As you’re progressing in the game, you’re going to unlock the Advanced Craft Station and a few other items, and you’re going to need Super Alloy. So what is this Super Alloy? Well it’s shinier than a speeding bullet! It builds complex machinery in a single bound! And I guess as the game says, it’s used for high-end technology. So how is it you get this mythical Super Alloy?
Crafting
The first way you’re going to get a lot of Super Alloy is probably by crafting it which requires the Advanced Crafting Station. Super Alloy uses the five base level materials of Cobalt, Iron, Magnesium, Silicon, and Titanium which are obtainable in pretty much any starting area. Then you have the last piece of Aluminum, which depending on your starting location is how easy the Aluminum Fields will be to reach. The Aluminum Fields still have some of the basic materials, but the real thing you need is of course the Aluminum. So what this means is once you unlock the T1 Ore Extractor you can build it in the Aluminum Fields which will give you the basic focus material of Aluminum, and of course all Ore Extractors no matter what will produce the five basic materials Cobalt, Iron, Magnesium, Silicon, and Titanium as excess materials while they are mining. So toss out two, three, or even 15 Ore Extractors and you should generate enough materials for all the Super Alloy you could need.
Searching Storage Crates
While technically you can just craft tons of Super Alloy using the T1 Ore Extractors, it’s not the fastest way and do you really want to wait until you unlock the T1 Ore Extractor to get enough Super Alloy? No, you’re going to need plenty of Super Alloy before that so where else can you get Super Alloy? The Blue Storage Crates scattered around the landscape and inside shipwrecks of course. The higher your Terraformation Index is, the higher the chance that you will get Super Alloy generated when you first open each crate. Now you can also make use of the Golden Crates for finding some Super Alloy, but beyond that the Golden Crates can be deconstructed for a piece of Super Alloy.
Super Alloy Meteors
As you progress further along in the game and your Terraformation Index gets higher and higher, you will start to get the occasional Super Alloy Meteor Storm. These are very rare but obvious when they happen, as the sky turns purple and a barrage of meteors come down. This is different from the other meteor storms in that the meteor strikes are almost rapid fire in comparison to the rest of the meteor storm types. With the other storms, the materials dropped will stick around until you exit the game. Super Alloy meteor storms drop one piece of Super Alloy per meteor strike, and this Super Alloy despawns very quickly so you have to move pretty fast to get the pieces.
Naturally Spawned Super Alloy
Sand Falls Area
You can also find loose Super Alloy scattered around the ground in the Sand Falls biome. These are found in the place where it’s hardest to find which is under the wall of falling sand where you know, you won’t be able to see if from a distance. But believe me it’s there, there’s just not a lot of it.
Labyrinth Canyon
The place where most players are going to be headed to grab lots of Super Alloy early in the game is in the Labyrinth. In this area, you will find a lot of Super Alloy up on the canyon ledges. Now of course, some of the ledges are going to be a little treacherous to get around because you’re going to be jumping across from one ledge to another. If you jump or fall down to the ground without a Jet Pack then you’ll take some injury. The easiest way to get to the ledges is through the back of the Labyrinth where the shipwreck is. From there you can follow along the different girders that are scattered through the ledges and places where the ledges are close enough to jump across. You just have to work your way around the Labyrinth picking up all the Super Alloy you can until there is no more.
Super Alloy Cave & Mining
1088 : 64 : 1695
The last place you can find loose Super Alloy scattered around is in the Super Alloy Cave. This is located in the Dunes Desert along the cliff wall between the pathway into the Sulfur Fields and the pathway into the Arches Biome. This cave has a notable opening because it looks almost like carved pillars adorning the entrance. Once you get inside, you will find pieces of Super Alloy scattered around on the ground. However, the best use of this cave is that once you have the T2 Ore Extractor you can build it here for an endless supply of Super Alloy.
Something Important to Know
One thing to mention that some players do not know, is that anything that spawns scattered around the ground will not respawn after you collect it. So the Super Alloy you collect early in the game will be necessary for get at least the T1 Ore Extractors going in the Aluminum Fields in order to craft more Super Alloy should you run out of the naturally spawned Super Alloy.
